According to the statistics of the General Administration of Customs, China's yarn output in 2021 was 28.753 million tons, up 8.22 percent year on year. The overall yarn output in 2021 is higher than in 2020, mainly due to the hot textile orders, compact orders, full load production yarn, especially the yarn output in the first half of 2021.Data show that the top three yarn output in 2021; yarn production in all regions returned to the pre-epidemic level, among which Xinjiang yarn production increased year by year and grew rapidly.
In 2021, China's cotton yarn import was 2.12 million tons, up 11.58 percent year on year, and the market demand increased significantly. Among them, the top five importers were Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Indonesia, accounting for 89.61 percent of the total imports; the import of Vietnamese yarn ranked first, accounting for 44.72 percent of the total imported yarn.
